Faye Cleveland Ankney, 80, of Edgewater, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017. A loving mother, grandmother, caregiver and friend, Faye was born in Orlando, FL on August 26, 1936. She graduated from Boone High School in Orlando and married Bill C. Ankney on September 23, 1958. Bill and Faye resided in the Isle of Catalina of Orlando where Faye was a busy mother of four and spent much of her time keeping her children involved in church, sports and extracurricular activities. She enjoyed golfing (Orlando Womenís Golf Association), bowling, the bridge club and was an active member of the Catalina Community Association. In 1975, Faye and Bill moved to Lake Jessamine and became active supporters of the Oak Ridge community. Faye spent countless hours at Datson Field supporting the Pinecastle Little League teams. In 1991, Faye and Bill moved to the Intercoastal River in Edgewater where they traveled, fished and had many friends in the retirement community of Terra Mar Village. She attended church at Bella Vista Baptist Church in Edgewater. Faye has gone to join her parents, Henry D. and Martha White Cleveland; brothers, Bill, Gene (Peggy) and Bobby Cleveland; her beloved husband of 49 years, Bill C. Ankney and Billís parents, Milton I. and Clara Mae Wolford Ankney; sister-in-law, Marjorie Ankney (Mac) McKeithen; brother-in-law, Jim Ankney and Billís daughter, Constance Ankney Myatt in Heaven. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Cathy Cleveland Wyatt and Beth Bryant Ankney; Billís son,, Chuck (Genna) Ankney of Ocala; son, Mike (Martha) Ankney of Scottsmoor; daughter, Pam Ankney (Jeff) Hansen of Titusville; son, Steve Ankney of Ocala and daughter, Ginger Ankney Clark of St. Cloud. Faye had 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews as well as a very faithful and protective Chihuahua named Leo. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Terra Mar Village Clubhouse, 195 Red Bass Lane, Edgewater, FL 32141 with Pastor John Marsh of Bella Vista Baptist Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mission Fund at Bella Vista Baptist Church, P. O. Box 681, Edgewater, FL 32132.
