Kenneth Harold Stickney, 63, Edgewater, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at his home. He was born December 8, 1953 in Glen Ridge, NJ and moved to Ormond Beach in 1959 where he was raised before moving to Edgewater in 1983. Kenneth was one of three children born to the late David Stickney and Virginia Alley. He loved surfing the ocean and fishing the waters around him. He served as a shipmate and built fishing boats during his youth and worked at East Coast Marble, Edgewater for many years. He also worked at Featherlite Coaches in Sanford where he designed coach interiors that were purchased by NASCAR drivers and celebrities alike. Kenneth is survived by one daughter, Heather Ann Stickney; his step mother, Shirley Stickney; two granddaughters and his former wife, Barbara E. Stickney. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his second wife, Barbara A. Stickney. Over the course of his life, Kenneth developed and treasured relationships with a group of friends whom he considered as close as family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and countless others. A memorial gathering will be from 4 PM until 5 PM Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Dudley Edgewater Funeral Chapel, 433 N. Ridgewood Ave., Edgewater. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory, New Smyrna Beach.
